So, I'm here trying to revive this blog, odd as that may seem. I actually seem to have two here - Schola Cantorum on Hudson (which I think may have been a joint blog for the ensemble), and Don't Need Another Blog, which was started on our tour to Austria and the Czech Republic, and continued on our pilgrimage to Canterbury as artists-in-residence, and was intended to be a travelogue. And it was - for a short while...sigh...
So I don't know that I'm
necessarily going to return it to that purpose. I could, I suppose. This could be my place to post about trips to Endicott to close up the house, and trips to Michigan to Bass Lake. We'll see.
But in these days of the accession to power of evil and darkness, many of my dear friends are leaving Facebook and Twitter. Both Zuckerber and even moreso Musk are very bad people, and they have no understand of the truth. Indeed, they hate it and desire to override it with lies.
Many friends are going to Bluesky, which is more
Twitter-like.
And while that's fine for day-to-day updates like
"thank God, it was benign" or "I hate this icy crap," it doesn't do for
longer meditations.

Sorry to ask this multiple times - it will depend a lot on which of these I like working with best, which one I ultimately choose for most of my longer writing. And of course it's all incriminating when the freedom of speech is taken away - but I cannot be worried about that. My duty is to speak Truth to Power, in whatever small way I can, and to keep the fire burning.
